Tour to Pyramids & The Egyptian Museum

Overview

A Tamer safari representative will pick you up from your hotel and take you to see the Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinus. You will also visit the Great Sphinx, which dates from the time of Chephren, and the nearby Valley Temple that belongs to Chephren’s pyramid. Along the way you will learn about these ancient monuments and their place in Egypt’s pharaonic history, then stop for lunch at a local restaurant. You will then move on to the Egyptian Museum, which features artefacts from the Pharaonic period and displays a collection spanning 5,000 years of Egyptian art. The museum presents over 250,000 genuine artefacts, including an exhibit dedicated to Tutankhamen’s collection of treasure, gold and jewellery, which was enclosed in his tomb for more than 3,500 years before its discovery in the 1920s. After your visit to the museum you will be taken back to your hotel.
