Visit Edfu, Kom Ombo Temples From Luxor
A trusted partner experience, hand-picked and featured on This is Egypt.

Overview
A Tamer Safari Tours guide will collect you from your hotel in Luxor and drive you by private, air‑conditioned vehicle to Edfu. On arrival you will visit the Temple of Edfu, dedicated to the falcon‑god Horus and widely regarded as one of Egypt’s best preserved cult temples. As you move through the site, you will learn about its place in Egyptian mythology, including the story of Horus avenging the murder of his father Osiris by confronting Seth. A boxed lunch is included. After lunch you will continue to Kom Ombo to see the distinctive Temple of Kom Ombo standing on high ground overlooking the Nile. The temple is unusual for its double entrance: one side honours Haroeris, the falcon‑headed form of Horus, and the other is dedicated to Sobek, the crocodile‑headed god. The site was built in honour of these two deities — Sobek, associated with fertility and creation, and Haroeris, the ancient falcon‑headed Horus — and you will have the chance to explore the temple’s architecture and learn about the dual cult that made it unique.
