Valley Of The Kings Tour
A trusted partner experience, hand-picked and featured on This is Egypt.

Overview
A Journey to Egypt guide will collect you from your hotel in Luxor or from your Nile cruise and take you across to the west bank to begin your visit. You will explore the Valley of the Kings (Wadi Biban el Muluk), a burial ground that has intrigued visitors for thousands of years. This valley served as the repository for the mortal remains of the New Kingdom’s greatest rulers and was regarded as one of Egypt’s most sacred sites. Your tour continues to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahri, the mortuary temple that is considered the site's crowning achievement; even in its ruined state it remains one of the great monuments of ancient Egypt. Along the way you will pass the Colossi of Memnon, two giant statues that once formed part of the largest mortuary temple of the New Kingdom. At the end of the visit you will be driven back to your hotel or to your Nile cruise in Luxor.
