You will visit the West Bank of Luxor and explore three of its most famous sites: the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple and the Colossi of Memnon. As you move through the area, you’ll encounter ancient monuments and learn about their place in Egypt’s long history. The experience focuses on seeing these key landmarks and gaining context about their cultural and archaeological importance. At the Valley of the Kings you’ll see the area known for pharaonic burial sites and learn about the work of archaeologists and Egyptologists there. At Hatshepsut Temple you’ll view the remains of an ancient royal temple complex and learn about the ruler it honours. Along the way you’ll also come to the Colossi of Memnon, two large monumental statues that stand on the West Bank. Together, these sites offer a clear sense of the scale and legacy of ancient Egyptian civilisation as you move between them.
