Tour to the newest Saqqara tombs and having lunch in a farm with locals
A trusted partner experience, hand-picked and featured on This is Egypt.

Overview
At Sakkara you'll move through layers of ancient history, beginning with a view of the distinctive step pyramid, the oldest of its kind dating back to around 2630 B.C. Along the way you will enter some of the newly opened tombs of high officials. You will walk towards King Unas’s pyramid and visit its chamber, recently opened to the public, where you can see the unique ancient inscriptions and hear your guide explain their meaning. You will also enter the Tomb of Prince Mehu, described as one of the most beautiful and complete tombs in Sakkara, filled with detailed scenes that show many aspects of daily life in ancient Egypt. Later you will go inside King Teti’s pyramid and visit the tomb of his prime minister. The visit ends with a stop at one of the local craft schools in the Egyptian village, where the traditional handmade carpet craft — a heritage traced back to ancient Egyptian times — is demonstrated.
