The Egyptian museum and Cairo Citadel and Al Azhar Mosque Islamic Site
A trusted partner experience, hand-picked and featured on This is Egypt.

Overview
Your tour guide will pick you up from your hotel and take you to the Egyptian Museum to explore its Pharaonic treasures. The museum displays a rare collection spanning some 5,000 years of art, with more than 250,000 genuine artefacts on show. As you move through the galleries, you will see an exhibit dedicated to Tutankhamen, including the collection of treasure, gold and jewellery that lay in his tomb for over 3,500 years before it was excavated in the 1920s. Along the way you will visit the Citadel of Salah El Din and the Mohamed Ali Mosque, often called the Alabaster Mosque, and then continue to Al Azhar Mosque and the historic area of Islamic Cairo. The route links major sites of Cairo’s old city, so you will have the chance to appreciate both monumental architecture and the city's Islamic heritage before returning to your hotel.
