Private tour to Egyptian Museum, Citadel & Mohamed Ali Mosque
A trusted partner experience, hand-picked and featured on This is Egypt.

Overview
Your Visitors Egypt tour guide will be waiting for you, holding a Visitors Egypt sign, so you do not need to look for them — they will find you. The tour begins at the Egyptian Museum, which displays more than 250,000 pieces spanning over 5,000 years of Egyptian art. As you move through the galleries, you will see the Tutankhamen room, which contains treasures, jewellery and gold that were enclosed in his tomb over 3,500 years before it was discovered in 1920 when his tomb was excavated. You will then visit the Citadel of Salah El Din, built on the Moqattam hills in 1183 AD to defend Cairo from the armies of the Crusaders. Along the way you will also see the Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque, designed by the Turkish architect Yousif Boushnaq, who came from Istanbul to build the mosque for Mohamed Ali, ruler of Egypt from 1805 to 1849, who reigned for over 45 years. After these visits, you will return to your hotel.
