A trusted partner experience, hand-picked and featured on This is Egypt.

Overview
You will travel to the West Bank of the Nile to explore Medinat Habu, an archaeological site near the foot of the Theban Hills opposite modern Luxor. As you move through the Habu temple complex, you will see the Temple of Amun, which dates to the 18th Dynasty and is associated with Queen Hatshepsut and Thutmose III. The site offers close-up views of ancient architecture and reliefs within the wider Medinat Habu area. Later you will visit Deir el-Medina, known as the Valley of the Worker. This ancient Egyptian village was home to the artisans who worked on the tombs in the Valley of the Kings during the 18th to 20th dynasties of the New Kingdom period. Your day ends at the Valley of the Queens, the burial place for the wives of pharaohs in ancient times, where you can see the funerary landscape and imagine the lives of those who lived and worked here.
