Private Tour - Giza Pyramids, Sphinx, Memphis and Sakkara from Cairo

Overview

On this full-day tour you’ll explore some of Egypt’s most famous ancient sites. You’ll be accompanied by a 3 Stars travel guide and start at the Giza Plateau to visit the Great Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinos. As you move through the complex, you’ll see the Valley Temple — the place where priests mummified the body of King Chephren, owner of the second pyramid — and you can have a close-up look at the Sphinx, the legendary guardian with a lion’s body and the head of King Chephren. Lunch is included between visits at a local restaurant as a full meal for each person; beverages are not included. After lunch you’ll continue to Sakkara, about 27 km southwest of Cairo, to see the Step Pyramid built for King Zoser. The Step Pyramid is considered an important stage in the evolution of pyramid design, marking the transition from simple mastabas to the stepped structures that led to later pyramids.
