This full-day tour will take you to two remarkable ancient sites on the Nile: the temples of Kom Ombo and Edfu. Along the way, you will explore impressive ancient architecture, encounter fascinating history and enjoy the striking views around each temple. Lunch boxes are included as part of the experience. At Kom Ombo you will see a rare double temple, built and shared by two cults. The complex is dedicated to Horus, the falcon god, and Sobek, the crocodile god, and its dual design is unlike most other Egyptian temples. At Edfu you will find one of Egypt’s best preserved temples, erected by the Ptolemies between 237 and 57 BC. As you move through Edfu’s monumental halls and reliefs, you will observe the scale and craftsmanship that help explain its importance in ancient religion and art.
