Private Luxor East and West Bank Temples Tour
A trusted partner experience, hand-picked and featured on This is Egypt.

Overview
You will start at the Valley of the Kings to take in the grandeur of the burial architecture where many pharaohs were laid to rest. The best-known tombs you will see include King Tut-Ankh-Amon, Tutmosis I, Tutmosis III, King Ramssess VI, King Mrenptah and Amonhotep II, giving a clear sense of the valley’s historical importance. As you move through the area, you will visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, built by Queen Hatshepsut, daughter of Thutmosis I. She ruled Egypt for about 20 years during the 18th Dynasty and is noted here as the only pharaonic woman who reigned in ancient Egypt. Along the way you will pass the Colossi of Memnon, the remains of the mortuary temple of Amenhotep III. You will then drive to Luxor’s east bank for lunch at a local restaurant before continuing to explore the Karnak Temples. The visit concludes with the Temple of Luxor, begun by Amunhotep III in the 18th Dynasty and later completed by Ramesses II during the 19th Dynasty. Throughout the experience you will see a wide range of monumental sites that reflect Egypt’s New Kingdom rulers and their funerary and religious architecture.
