Overview
You will be picked up from your Cairo or Giza hotel and flown to Luxor. On arrival your guide will meet you holding a sign with your name. In Luxor you will explore the Karnak Temples, entering via the avenue of sphinxes and moving deeper into the complex to see the successive legacies left by different pharaohs. As you move through the site, the layers of history will become increasingly apparent. You will continue to the west bank of the Nile to visit the Valley of the Kings, Deir el-Bahari and the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, and the Colossi of Memnon. You will see tombs from various dynasties and, on the return journey, stop at the two gigantic seated statues that represent Amenophis III and face the Nile. The next morning breakfast is included; a hot air balloon flight may be available as an optional activity. Finally you will be transferred back to Luxor Airport for your flight to Cairo, where you will be met again and taken back to your hotel.
