Overview

You will start among the living-history sites around the Salah El-Din Citadel and spend time at the Mohamed Ali Mosque. From there you’ll move toward Bab El-Fotouh (the Gate of Conquest) and enter Al-Moiz Street. This long, historic thoroughfare is presented like an open-air museum, stretching almost 1,300 metres and leading you eventually to the Khan Khalili bazaars. Along the way you’ll pause for a lunch break, then may visit Al-Azhar Mosque if it is open. You will also walk along Al-Ghoury Street, another area that feels like a living museum with its buildings and atmosphere. After exploring these streets and bazaars, you will return to the car and head back to your hotel.
