Overview
You will begin with visits to the Citadel of Salah El Din and the Mohamed Ali Mosque, taking time to experience two of Cairo’s most recognised landmarks. Along the way you will also stop at the Amr Ibn El Aas Mosque, appreciating its place among the city’s religious sites. Afterwards you will explore several important Christian monuments, starting with Al Moallaqa (The Hanging Church) and then Abu Serga Church, which dates back to the 4th century and was built in the basilican style on top of the cave that the Holy Family used as a shelter on their trip to Egypt, escaping from King Herod. You will also visit the Coptic Museum to see its collections and finish your tour at the Museum of Civilizations. Bottled water is included.
