Luxor day tour

Overview

This guided tour takes you to the main monuments on both the West and East Banks of Luxor. Your guide will pick you up from your hotel in Luxor and lead you first to the West Bank, known as the City of the Dead. There you will enter the Valley of the Kings and explore three tombs built by ancient Egyptians. You will also visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, where your guide will share stories about her life as Egypt’s second female pharaoh, who came to the throne in 1478 BC, and see the two giant statues of King Amenhotep III known as the Colossi of Memnon. There will be time for a break or lunch before you move on. On the East Bank you will explore the vast Karnak Temple Complex, with its temples, chapels and pylons dedicated to the god Amun‑Ra, his wife Mut and their son Khonsu. The tour finishes with a return to your hotel in Luxor.
