Overview
After pick-up from your hotel, you will drive to Luxor to visit some of Egypt’s most famous monuments, including the temple at Karnak. You will relax over lunch at a local restaurant in Luxor. You may then board a felucca, a traditional Egyptian sailing boat, to cross the Nile to the City of the Dead (this is optional). The Colossi of Memnon will greet you there — the last remnants of the Temple of Amenophis III. As you move through the area, you will admire the architecture of the Valley of the Queens and visit the temple of Hatshepsut, one of the female rulers of Ancient Egypt. After you have had time to explore these extensive monuments to your satisfaction, you will be driven back to your hotel.
