A trusted partner experience, hand-picked and featured on This is Egypt.

Overview
You will explore Islamic Cairo with a NASCO Tours representative, beginning at the Citadel of Salah El Din. At the citadel you will visit the Mohamed Ali Mosque, often called the Alabaster Mosque for its outer alabaster stone walls. Along the way you will also see Al-Rifa’i Mosque, located opposite the Mosque‑Madrassa of Sultan Hassan, which dates back to 1361. As you move through the area, you will visit the El Sultan Hassan Mosque, founded by Sultan Hassan in 1356, and then the historic Al‑Azhar Mosque, commissioned in 970 by the Fatimid Caliphate. Your final stop will be the Khan Khalili shops, where you will find brassware, copper, perfumes, leather goods, silver, gold and antiques. The experience will conclude with a return to your hotel, having seen a range of Cairo’s notable Islamic monuments and markets.
