Half Day Luxor East Bank Tour – Temples of Karank & Luxor with a private guide.
A trusted partner experience, hand-picked and featured on This is Egypt.

Overview
On this tour you will visit Luxor, often described as the largest open‑air museum in the world, and explore the temples of Karnak and Luxor — two of the largest archaeological sites in Egypt. Luxor is famed for its concentration of temples, tombs and museums, and your visit will focus on the monumental remains that make the city so significant. At Karnak, on the east bank of the Nile, you will encounter a vast temple precinct that covers more than 100 hectares — an area larger than some ancient cities. You will see the central sector dedicated to the god Amun‑Ra, associated with Thebes, and the area around his main sanctuary once known as “Ipet‑Sun,” meaning “the most select of places.” The complex was built over about 2,000 years, from the Old Kingdom through to Roman‑occupied Egypt, and includes the world’s largest Hypostyle Hall. At the nearby Luxor Temple you will find one of the best preserved ancient monuments, with much of its structure, statuary and relief carvings still intact, giving a clear sense of the artistry and scale of Egypt’s temple architecture.
