Overview

See the most famous sites around Luxor on both sides of the river in one day. On the East Bank, you’ll visit the vast Karnak Temple and the nearby Luxor Temple, where you can take in monumental columns, ancient reliefs and the atmosphere of these major religious centres. As you move through these sites, you’ll have time to appreciate their scale and the role they played in pharaonic worship. Later you’ll continue to the West Bank to see the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple and the Colossi of Memnon. In the Valley of the Kings you’ll come face to face with royal tombs carved into the cliffs. Hatshepsut Temple offers a striking example of funerary architecture set into a dramatic hillside, and the Colossi of Memnon are imposing stone statues that mark this historic landscape.
