Full-day Tour of Saqqara & Dahshur Pyramids with Lunch

Overview

This experience takes you to some of Egypt’s oldest and most important funerary sites, with pick-up from your hotel in Cairo or Giza and transfer back at the end. At Saqqara you will see the Step Pyramid of King Djoser and explore neighbouring noble tombs. As you move through the site, you will notice coloured depictions on the walls that represent daily life in ancient Egypt. You will also visit the Imhotep Museum and discover its collection related to Saqqara. You will continue to the Dahshur pyramids, where pyramid construction techniques were mastered, and tour the Pyramids of King Senefru. Along the way you will learn about the development of pyramid building as you view these earlier examples. The tour focuses on the archaeology and wall art of Saqqara, the exhibits at the Imhotep Museum, and the monumental pyramids at Dahshur, before returning you to your hotel.
