Overview

In Luxor, you will explore key sites of ancient Egyptian history with an English-speaking guide. As you visit the vast Karnak Temple and the nearby Luxor Temple, your guide will explain how these monuments were used in daily life and religious ceremonies. You will also see the avenue of sphinxes that links the two temples, once used for the famous celebration called the Obet festival. You will then travel to the West Bank to view the Valley of the Kings, where many famous tombs lie, including the tomb of Tut Ankh Amon. Nearby, you will explore the impressive temple of El Deir El Bahary, also known as the temple of Queen Hatshipsute. Along the way, there will be a stop so you can take photos beside the magnificent Colossi of Memnon. Throughout the experience, you will learn about the architecture and rituals of the ancient Egyptians as you move between these iconic sites.
