Overview

You’ll start with a meeting and transfer from your hotel to the Giza Plateau, where an Egyptologist guide will lead you around the three pyramids built for Kings Cheops, Chephren and Menkaure. As you move through the plateau, you’ll see the rock‑cut statue of the Sphinx and learn about the Great Pyramid of King Cheops, the only one of the ancient Seven Wonders still standing and older than the others by around 2,000 years. Later, you’ll visit the Saqqara complex to explore the Pyramid of Djoser, built for King Zoser. The guide will explain why Djoser’s step pyramid is considered the first pyramid in Egypt and the first rock‑cut building in history. The tour also includes Dahshur, where you’ll see the Bent Pyramid and the Red Pyramid and hear how they fit into the evolution of royal tomb architecture. Along the way you’ll benefit from an Egyptologist’s commentary and a prearranged transfer so you won’t need to arrange transport yourself.
