Overview
You will be met and assisted by your tour guide from your hotel to Cairo airport. He will begin with a brief introduction to Luxor and outline what you will discover during your visit to this lovely country. Your day will then start with visits to both the east and west banks of the Nile. As you move between the banks, you will see the magnificent temple of the queen Hatshepsut (Karnak temple) and you will visit Luxor Temple. Luxor Temple is a large Ancient Egyptian temple complex on the east bank of the Nile River in the city today known as Luxor. It was constructed approximately 1400 BCE and in the Egyptian language is known as ipet resyt, “the southern sanctuary.” Along the way your guide will provide context about these sites and what makes them significant.
