Day Trip to Luxor from Cairo by Air

Overview

On this day trip to Luxor, you will leave your hotel in Cairo in the early morning and take a flight to Luxor. On arrival, a representative will meet you and your tour will begin at Karnak Temple, the vast complex dedicated to the god Amon, his wife Mut and their son Khonsu. As you move through the site, you will see the scale of ancient Egyptian worship. You will then visit Luxor Temple to view its courtyard, the granite statue of Ramses the Great and the Avenue of the Sphinxes. Later, you will explore the Valley of the Kings, home to many of the most famous ancient Egyptian tombs, and visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, the pharaonic woman who reigned in ancient Egypt. You will also see the Colossi of Memnon, two gigantic statues representing Amenophis III. Lunch is included during the trip. At the end of the day you will be driven to Luxor airport for your return to Cairo.
