Day Tour to El Fayoum Pyramids From Cairo or Giza

Overview

A representative will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo for a day exploring the pyramids of El Fayoum. You will travel first to the Hawera (Hawara) Pyramid, about 145 km from Cairo. This pyramid was built by King Amenemhat III (XII Dynasty) and will be your first stop to see one of the region’s notable ancient monuments. Along the way you will transfer to the nearby El Lahun Pyramid, roughly 7 km from Hawara. El Lahun was constructed by King Senusert II (XII Dynasty) and offers another example of Middle Kingdom royal architecture. You will also visit the Maydoum Pyramids, which lie about 40 km from El Lahun, completing the circuit of El Fayoum’s ancient sites. After the site visits, a late lunch will be served. The day ends with a return transfer to your hotel in Cairo, where you will stay overnight.
