Coptic Cairo and Islamic Cairo Day Tour

Overview

Your tour begins with a hotel pickup by a Cecilia Egypt tour guide and a visit to Coptic Cairo, an area that is around 1,700 years old. Here you will see some of the oldest churches in the city, the oldest synagogue (Ben Ezra), the so-called Hanging Church and the Church of the Virgin Mary. Along the way your guide will point out the historic character of this ancient neighbourhood. You will then transfer to Islamic Cairo, where you'll approach the old gate of Bab Zuweila and see the mosque of Al-Muaiad Shaikh and Al-Azhar Mosque, one of Egypt’s most important religious sites. The visit will finish with time at the tourist bazaar in Khan el-Khalili, where you can take in the atmosphere before being taken back to your hotel.
