Cairo City Tour

Overview

This tour takes you back more than 4,500 years to explore ancient Egyptian history at the Egyptian Museum and the Citadel of Salah El Din. An Egyptologist guide will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo and drive you in an air-conditioned vehicle to the Egyptian Museum. Inside you will see more than 25,000 priceless objects, including the golden treasures and the famous mask of King Tutankhamun (Tut Ankh Amun). Your guide will explain the museum’s highlights, and you will have free time to explore the galleries at your own pace. You will then visit the Cairo Citadel, built by Salah el-Din as a protection for the city. As you move through the site, you will enter the alabaster Mosque of Mohammed Ali, who ruled Egypt between 1805 and 1849. After the visit, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Cairo.
