In Luxor, the ancient Thebes, you will explore temples and monuments scattered along both banks of the Nile, giving the city an open‑air museum feel. As you move through this area, you will see highlights such as Karnak temple, the temple of Hatshepsut and the Valley of the Kings. These sites offer a close look at Pharaonic architecture, royal tombs and monumental reliefs that trace the city’s long history. Along the journey to Aswan, you will stop to visit the temples at Edfu and at Kom Ombo, both set beside the Nile and known for their distinctive designs. On arrival in Aswan, you will head south of the Nubian city to the masterpieces of Abu Simbel. You will also have the chance to visit Philae Temple and the High Dam, completing a route that links Luxor’s ancient royal sites with the great temples and engineering landmarks of the south.
