Overview

You’ll travel by sleeper train from Cairo to Luxor and explore some of Egypt’s most famous ancient sites. In Luxor you’ll visit the vast Karnak complex and Luxor Temple, described as the largest religious building ever constructed. As you move through these monumental ruins, you’ll get a sense of the scale and craftsmanship of the pharaonic era. Along the way you’ll see the Colossi of Memnon and enter the Valley of the Kings, with its unique collection of tombs and remarkable funerary art. The tour also includes Hatshepsut’s Temple, the temple complex at Dendera and a visit to Medinet Habu. After your time in Luxor, you’ll return to Cairo by train having seen these key archaeological sites. A copy of your passport must be sent to the local partner no later than two days before the tour.
